Telegrafia sem fio
A telegrafia sem fio é telegrafia elétrica que não possui fios conectando os pontos finais. Atualmente, é usado como um termo histórico para os primeiros sistemas de radiotelegrafia que se comunicavam com ondas de rádio, embora, quando o termo se originasse no final dos anos 1800, também fosse usado para uma variedade de outras técnicas experimentais para comunicação telegráfica sem fios, como fotoelétricas e indução telegrafia. A telegrafia sem fio veio a significar o código Morse transmitido com ondas eletromagnéticas, inicialmente chamado de "ondas Hertzianas" e em 1910 universalmente referido como "rádio", levando a que esses sistemas sejam chamados de "radiotelegrafia". A transmissão da fala começou a deslocar a telegrafia sem fio até a década de 1920 para muitas aplicações e foi a base da transmissão pública.
