Heurística de representatividade
A heurística de representatividade é usada ao fazer julgamentos sobre a probabilidade de um evento sob incerteza. É um grupo de heurísticas propostas pelos psicólogos Amos Tversky e Daniel Kahneman no início da década de 1970. As heurísticas são descritas como "atalhos de julgamento que geralmente nos levam para onde devemos ir - e rapidamente - mas com o custo de nos enviar ocasionalmente fora do curso". As heurísticas são úteis porque usam redução de esforço e simplificação na tomada de decisões. Tversky e Kahneman definiram a representatividade como "o grau em que é semelhante em características essenciais à sua população-mãe e reflete os principais recursos do processo pelo qual é gerado".
