A reprovação, na teologia cristã, é um corolário da doutrina calvinista ou amplamente agostiniana de eleições incondicionais que ensina que algumas das humanidades são predestinadas por Deus para a salvação. Portanto, o restante deixa-se ligado à sua natureza caída e a certas condenações. Este mesmo estado de descrença também é conhecido como reprovação. Na terminologia calvinista, os não eleitos são freqüentemente designados como reprobados. Da mesma forma, quando um pecador é tão endurecido quanto a não sentir remorso ou misso de consciência, ele é considerado um sinal de reprovação. A palavra inglesa, reprobada, é da raiz latina, e, portanto, derivada do latim, reprobato, o oposto do approbatus.
