Roscommon é a cidade do condado de County Roscommon, na Irlanda. Está perto da reunião das estradas N60, N61 e N63, colocando-o aproximadamente no centro da Irlanda. O nome de Roscommon é derivado de Coman Mac Faelchon que construiu um mosteiro lá no século V. O bosque perto do mosteiro tornou-se conhecido como Ros Comáin. Isso foi mais tarde anglicizado para Roscommon. Sua população no censo de 2006 era 5.017. Apesar de a própria cidade ter uma população relativamente pequena, atende a cerca de metade da população do condado de Roscommon, pois Boyle é a única cidade importante no município.
