Solarização
A solarização é um fenômeno na fotografia em que a imagem gravada em uma impressão negativa ou fotográfica é totalmente ou parcialmente invertida em tom. Áreas escuras aparecem áreas claras ou claras, aparecem escuras. O termo é sinônimo do efeito Sabattier ao se referir a negativos, mas é tecnicamente incorreto quando usado para se referir a impressões. Em suma, o mecanismo é devido aos íons de halogênio liberados dentro do grão de haleto por exposição difundindo à superfície do grão em quantidades suficientes para destruir a imagem latente.
