Máquina de bilhetes
Uma máquina de bilhetes, também conhecida como Ticket Vending Machine, é uma máquina de venda automática que produz bilhetes. Por exemplo, as máquinas de bilhetes dispensam bilhetes de trem nas estações ferroviárias, bilhetes de trânsito em estações de metro e bilhetes de eléctrico em algumas paragens de trânsito e em alguns bondes. A transação típica consiste em um usuário que usa a interface de exibição para selecionar o tipo e quantidade de ingressos e depois escolher um método de pagamento em dinheiro, cartão de crédito / débito ou cartão inteligente. O bilhete ou os bilhetes são impressos e dispensados ao usuário. Para incentivar o uso de máquinas de bilhetes e reduzir a necessidade de vendedores, os preços das máquinas podem, em alguns casos, ser inferiores aos do balcão. Em muitos países, onde os trens e os bilhetes de transporte urbano operam em grande parte no sistema de honra, também há máquinas em estações apenas para validação de ingressos.
