O Mar Branco é uma entrada do sul do Mar de Barents, localizada na costa noroeste da Rússia. Está cercado por Carélia a oeste, a Península de Kola ao norte e a Península de Kanin ao nordeste. Todo o Mar Branco está sob a soberania russa e é considerado parte das águas internas da Rússia. Administrativamente, é dividido entre Arkhangelsk e Murmansk Oblasts e República da Carélia. O principal porto de Arkhangelsk está localizado no Mar Branco. Durante grande parte da história da Rússia, este foi o principal centro de comércio marítimo internacional da Rússia, conduzido pelos chamados Pomors de Kholmogory. Na era moderna, tornou-se uma importante base naval e submarina soviética. O Canal do Mar-Báltico branco conecta o Mar Branco com o Mar Báltico. O Mar Branco é um dos quatro mares nomeados em inglês após termos de cores comuns - os outros são o Mar Negro, o Mar Vermelho e o Mar Amarelo.
