Gamma secretase 【γ secretase】 Protease de enzima proteolítica. Ele quebra a proteína precursora amilóide (APP) clivada por secreção beta no local penetrante da membrana celular e produz amyloide β, que é uma substância causante da demência do tipo Alzheimer. Também está envolvido na clivagem do receptor Notch, que desempenha um papel importante no desenvolvimento de organismos e diferenciação de células. ガンマ‐セクレターゼ【γセクレターゼ】 たんぱく質分解酵素セクレターゼの一つ。βセクレターゼによって切断されたアミロイド前駆体蛋白質(APP)を細胞膜貫通部位で切断し、アルツハイマー型認知症の原因物質とされるアミロイドβを産生する。また、生物の発生や細胞の分化に重要な役割を果たすNotch受容体の切断にも関与している。
