În statistici, un deflator este o valoare care permite măsurarea datelor în timp în termeni de o anumită perioadă de bază, de obicei printr-un indice de prețuri, pentru a face distincția între modificările valorii monetare a unui produs național brut care provine dintr-o schimbare în prețuri și schimbări de la o schimbare a producției fizice.
