Epicurus era un filozof grec antic, precum și fondatorul școlii de filosofie numită epicureanism. Doar câteva fragmente și litere ale celor 300 de lucrări scrise ale lui Epicurus rămân. O mare parte din ceea ce se știe despre filozofia epicureană derivă din urmașii și comentatorii ulteriori.
