U.S. Geological Survey professional paper
Almost all of the tactite-bearing inclusions in quartz diorite and hornblende
gabbro are bordered by a zone in which the igneous rock has been epidotized
irregularly for a thickness of a few inches to 20 feet or more. In places, the
igneous rock ...

Another specimen shows one part that retains the pegmatitic habit, although it is
composed of pink microcline, white quartz, green epidotized albite, and large
black crystals of hedenbergite that have been partly altered to hornblende.

The mineralized zone consists of epidotized amphibolite and lenses of quartz-
epidote-clinozoisite and quartz-albite. Native copper occurs both as small grains
unevenly dstributed through the epidotized zone and as large masses in ...

The Copper Deposits of Michigan
On Nugget Creek a very little native copper occurs in the reddish, highly
epidotized amygdaloidal portion of a basaltic flow. The copper is intimately
associated with calcite and appears to be later than the chlorite, epidote, quartz,
and prehnite.

Geological Survey Bulletin
The rock is altered hornblende pegmatite, consisting of epidotized pale tan oligo-

of hornblende gneiss. A 3-foot channel sample cut across a mafic part of this ...

The mineralization, considered by Losert to be epigenetic, lies stratigraph~ ically
above a 100 m thick epidotized horizon which has been strongly depleted in
copper and sulphur. The mineralized flows have a mean of 65 ppm Rb which is

Geology of the Composite Avalon Terrane of Southern New England
It seems highly unlikely that these 3 epidotized dikes could postdate the other
dikes in the area, none of which appear to have experienced the same relatively
severe alteration event. These andesites are probably late Proterozoic in age.
