Eristicul, din cuvântul grecesc antic eris, care înseamnă "luptă" sau "conflict", se referă adesea la un tip de argument care se concentrează pe încheierea cu o dispută de succes a unui argument spre deosebire de apropierea de un anumit adevăr. Potrivit lui T. H.
