Alfa hidroxi acid
a-hidroxi acizi sau alfa hidroxi acizi reprezintă o clasă de compuși chimici care constau dintr-un acid carboxilic substituit cu o grupare hidroxil pe carbonul adiacent. Acestea pot fi fie în mod natural, fie sintetice. AHA sunt bine cunoscute pentru utilizarea lor în industria cosmetică. Ele se regăsesc adesea în produse care pretind că reduc ridurile sau semnele de îmbătrânire și îmbunătățesc aspectul și simțul general al pielii.
