Miscarea metodistă este un grup de denominații istorice legate de creștinism protestant, care își inspiră din viața și învățăturile lui John Wesley. George Whitefield și fratele lui John Charles Wesley au fost, de asemenea, lideri semnificativi în mișcare. Ea a apărut ca o renaștere în cadrul Bisericii din Anglia din secolul al XVIII-lea și a devenit o Biserică separată după moartea lui Wesley. Mișcarea metodistă este cunoscută și pentru tradiția muzicală bogată. Charles Wesley a contribuit în scris la o mare parte din imnurile Bisericii metodiste, iar mulți alți scriitori de imnuri provin din tradiția metodistă.
