Un motor cu oxid de azot este un motor în care oxigenul necesar pentru arderea combustibilului provine de la descompunerea oxidului de azot mai degrabă decât aerul. Sistemul mărește puterea motorului cu combustie internă, permițând arderea combustibilului la o rată mai mare decât în mod normal, datorită presiunii parțiale mai ridicate a oxigenului injectat în amestecul combustibil.
