În biologie, phenetica / fɨnɛtɪks /, cunoscută și ca taximetrie, este o încercare de a clasifica organismele bazate pe similitudinea generală, de obicei în morfologie sau în alte trăsături observabile, indiferent de filogenia sau relația lor evolutivă. Este strâns legată de taxonomia numerică care se referă la utilizarea metodelor numerice de clasificare taxonomică.
