Radiatoarele sunt schimbătoare de căldură utilizate pentru transferul energiei termice de la un mediu la altul în scopul răcirii și încălzirii. Majoritatea radiatoarelor sunt construite pentru a funcționa în automobile, clădiri și electronice. Radiatorul este întotdeauna o sursă de căldură pentru mediul înconjurător, deși acest lucru poate fi fie pentru încălzirea acestui mediu, fie pentru răcirea lichidului sau a agentului de răcire furnizat acestuia, ca și în cazul răcirii motorului.
