Un pronume reflexiv este un pronume care este precedat de substantiv, adjectiv, adverb sau pronume la care se referă în cadrul aceleiași clauze. În gramatica generativă, un pronume reflexiv este un anafor care trebuie legat de antecedentul său. Într-un sens general, este vorba de o expresie de substantiv care în mod obligatoriu își însușește semnificația de la o altă expresie de substantiv în propoziție. Diferitele limbi vor avea domenii obligatorii diferite pentru pronume reflexive, în funcție de structura lor. În limba engleză, funcția unui pronumă reflexivă se numără printre semnificațiile cuvintelor: eu însumi, însuți, pe sine, pe el însuși, pe el însuși, pe el însuși, pe noi înșine, pe noi înșine, pe noi înșine, pe noi înșiși și pe ei înșiși. În afirmațiile "îl văd" și "ea te vede", obiectele nu sunt aceleași persoane ca subiecții și sunt folosiți pronumele non-reflexive.
