Sudul Uplands
Uplands Southern este cea mai sudică și mai puțin populată din cele trei regiuni geografice majore din Scoția. Termenul este utilizat atât pentru a descrie regiunea geografică, cât și pentru a desemna colectiv diferitele zone de dealuri din această regiune. Uplandele sudice se află la sud de linia defecțiunii Southern Uplands Fault, care pornește de la Ballantrae pe coasta Ayrshire spre nord-est până la Dunbar, în estul Lothian, pe coasta Mării Nordului, la o distanță de aproximativ 220 km.
