În botanică, o stomă este un por, care se găsește în epiderma frunzelor, tulpinilor și a altor organe care se utilizează pentru a controla schimbul de gaze. Poralul este mărginit de o pereche de celule de parenchimă specializate, cunoscute sub numele de celule de pază care sunt responsabile de reglarea mărimii deschiderii. Termenul este, de asemenea, folosit în mod colectiv pentru a se referi la un întreg complex stomatal, atât porul însuși, cât și celulele de gardă însoțitoare.
