O programare este o schiță și un rezumat al subiectelor care urmează să fie acoperite într-un curs de instruire sau de formare. Este descriptiv. O programare este adesea stabilită fie de un consiliu de examen, fie pregătită de profesorul care supraveghează sau controlează calitatea cursului. Acesta poate fi furnizat pe suport de hârtie sau on-line. Atât programa de învățământ cât și programa școlară sunt adesea topite și, de obicei, date fiecărui elev în timpul sesiunii de primă clasă, astfel încât obiectivele și mijloacele de obținere a acestora să fie clare.
