unset
unset este o comandă de shell shell integrat implementată atât de familia de cochilii Bourne shell, cât și de familia de cochilii C shell. Elimină o variabilă de shell, scoate-o din memorie și mediul exportat al shell-ului. Acesta este implementat ca un shell builtin, deoarece manipulează direct interiorul shell-ului. Variabilele de shell numai pentru citire nu pot fi dezactivate. Dacă încercați să dezactivați o variabilă numai pentru citire, comanda unset va imprima un mesaj de eroare și va returna un cod de ieșire diferit de zero.
