Râul Galben sau Huang El este al doilea cel mai lung râu din Asia, urmând râul Yangtze, și al șaselea cel mai lung din lume, la o lungime estimată de 5.464 km. Originar din Munții Bayan Har din provincia Qinghai din vestul Chinei, acesta curge prin nouă provincii și se golește în Marea Bohai, lângă orașul Dongying din provincia Shandong. Bazinul Fluviului Galben are o întindere est-vest de aproximativ 1.900 de kilometri și o întindere nord-sud de aproximativ 1.100 km.
