देवी 'अंबिका' नाम की ओर भैरव 'उन्मत्त' नामक हैं । यहाँ
पर्वत के एक दरार से भूगर्भस्थ अग्नि के कारण एक प्रकार की जलनेवाली भाप निकला करती है जो दीपक दिखलाने से
जलने लगती है । इसी को देवी का ज्वलंत मुख कहते हैं ।
