Понятие было древним городом на западном побережье Малой Азии. Он находится в сегодняшней Турции примерно в 50 км к югу от Измира в заливе Кушадасы. Понятие считалось эолийским фундаментом, но было расположено в Ионии. Он служил портовым городом для Колофона и Храм Клароса. В Понятие паломники прибыли в древность, когда хотели посетить Клароса. Они паломничали около километра по священной дороге к оракулу. В эллинистический период понятие было связано с Колофоном. Город возвышался на холме, из которого можно было выходить на море. Есть остатки укрепляющей стены, некрополя, храма, агоры и театра.
