В геометрии коноид является каталонской поверхностью, все решения которой пересекаются с фиксированной линией, называемой осью коноида. Если все его решения перпендикулярны своей оси, то коноид называется правым коноидом. Например, гиперболический параболоид z = xy является коноидом с осью x и осью y в качестве двух осей. Коноид может быть представлен параметрическими уравнениями, где - вектор, параллельный оси коноида, а ƒ - некоторая функция. Если ℓ = m = 0 и n = 1, то коноид является правым коноидом.
