Болезнь рук, ящура - это человеческий синдром, вызванный кишечными вирусами семейства picornaviridae. Coxsackievirus A16 и энтеровирус 71 являются наиболее распространенными штаммами, которые, как известно, вызывают HFMD, но многие другие штаммы coxsackievirus или энтеровируса, как известно, вызывают этот вирусный синдром.
