Меннониты - христианская группа, основанная на церковных общинах анабаптистских деноминаций им. Менно Саймонса из Фрисландии. Своими трудами Саймонс сформулировал и формализовал учения более ранних швейцарских основателей. Ранние учения меннонитов были основаны на вере в миссию и служение Иисуса, с которыми искренние приверженцы анабаптистов держались с большой убежденностью, несмотря на преследования со стороны различных католических и протестантских государств.
