பாலியெத்திலின் (சுருக்கமாக PE) அல்லது பாலித்தீன் (IUPAC பெயர் பொலித்தேனே அல்லது பாலி (மெத்திலீன்)) மிகவும் பொதுவான பிளாஸ்டிக் ஆகும். ஆண்டு உலகளாவிய உற்பத்தி சுமார் 80 மில்லியன் டன்கள் ஆகும். அதன் முதன்மை பயன்பாடு பேக்கேஜிங் (பிளாஸ்டிக் பையில், பிளாஸ்டிக் படங்கள், ஜியோமெம்பிரேன்கள், பாட்டில்கள் உள்ளிட்ட கொள்கலன்கள் போன்றவை) ஆகும். பல வகையான பாலிஎதிலின்கள் அறியப்படுகின்றன, பெரும்பாலானவை இரசாயன சூத்திரம் (C2H4) nH2 கொண்டவை. எனவே PE என்பது பொதுவாக n இன் மதிப்பு அடிப்படையில் வேறுபடும் ஒத்த கரிம சேர்மங்களின் கலவையாகும்.
