Ahlak, "iyi" olanlar ile "kötü" olanlar arasındaki niyet, karar ve eylemlerin farklılaştırılmasıdır. Ahlak, belirli bir felsefeden, dinden, kültürden vb. Alınan bir davranış kuralından türetilen standartların veya ilkelerin bir kütüğü olabilir veya bir insanın evrensel olması gerektiğine inandığı bir standarttan türetilebilir. Ahlak özellikle "iyilik" veya "haklılık" ile özdeş olabilir. Ahlaksızlık, ahlaki standartların veya ilkelerin herhangi bir kümesindeki bir bilinçsizlik, kayıtsızlığa veya kayıtsızlık olarak çeşitli şekillerde tanımlanırken ahlaksızlık ahlaka aktif muhalefettir. Ahlak felsefesi ahlaki ontolojiyi, ahlakın kökenini, ahlaki epistemolojiyi ya da ahlak hakkında bildiklerimizi içerir. Bir dizi kurulu kurallara uyan deontolojik etik sistemleri ve eylemlerin kendisinin vasfını dikkate alan normatif etik sistemleri de dahil olmak üzere ahlakı ifade eden farklı sistemler önerildi.
