AEGEAN ISLANDS SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
Ege Adaları
Ege Adaları, Ege Denizi'ndeki adaların birleşimidir; batıda kuzey, Türkiye doğuya doğru olan Yunanistan; Girit adası güneyde, güneyde Rodos, Karpathos ve Kasos denizlerini sınırlar. Ege Denizi'nin eski Yunan adını alan Archipelago, içerdiği adalara uygulandı ve artık herhangi bir ada grubuna atıf yapmak için daha genel olarak kullanılmaktadır. Ege Adaları'nın büyük çoğunluğu dokuz idari çevre arasında bölünmüş olan Yunanistan'a ait. Türkiye'nin Ege Denizi'ndeki tek büyük mülkiyeti, Denizin kuzeydoğu ucundaki Imbros ve Tenedos'tur. Türk adaları ayrıca Türkiye'nin batı kıyılarında çeşitli küçük adacıklar içeriyor. Ege Adaları geleneksel olarak kuzeyden güneye yedi gruba ayrılmıştır: ▪ Kuzeydoğu Ege Adaları ▪ Sporadlar ▪ Euboea ▪ Argo-Saronik Adalar ▪ Kikladlar ▪ Dodecanese ▪ Girit İtalyan Ege Adları terimi bazen Ege adalarına atıfta bulunmak için kullanılır; 1912'de İtalya-Türk Savaşı sırasında İtalya'yı ziyaret etti ve 1923'ten 1947'ye kadar ilhak edildi: Rodos ve Kastellorizo dahil olmak üzere Dodecanese.
