Hava kütlesi
Meteorolojide hava kütlesi, sıcaklık ve su buharı içeriği ile tanımlanan bir hava hacmidir. Hava kütleleri, yüzlerce veya binlerce kilometrekareyi kaplar ve altındaki yüzeyin özelliklerini benimser. Enlem ve karasal veya deniz kaynakları bölgelerine göre sınıflandırılırlar. Daha soğuk hava yığınları kutupsal veya kutupsal olarak adlandırılırken, sıcak hava kütleleri tropik olarak kabul edilir.
