Allometry
Allometri, 1892'de Otto Snell, 1917'de D'Arcy Thompson ve 1932'de Julian Huxley tarafından özetlenen şekil, anatomi, fizyoloji ve nihayet davranış arasındaki vücut genişliği arasındaki ilişkinin araştırılmasıdır. Allometri, özellikle de teorik gelişmelerin yanı sıra canlı bir organizmanın vücudunun parçalarının diferansiyel büyüme oranlarına pratik uygulamalar için biyolojide istatistiksel şekil analizi sağlamaktadır.
