Antitrombin
Antitrombin koagülasyon sisteminin birçok enzimini inaktive eden küçük bir protein molekülüdür. Antitrombin, karaciğer tarafından üretilen ve 432 amino asitten oluşan bir glikoproteindir. Üç disülfür bağı ve toplam dört olası glikosilasyon bölgesi içerir. α-Antitrombin, kan plazmasında bulunan baskın antitrombin formudur ve her dört glikozilasyon bölgesini işgal eden bir oligosakarit içerir. Tek bir glikosilasyon bölgesi, antitrombin, β-antitrombin'in küçük formunda sürekli işgal edilmemiş olarak kalır. Anti-trombin faktör II ve faktör X'e bağlanmasını güçlendiren antikoagülan ilaç heparin tarafından aktivitesi çok kat artar.
