Arctiidae
Arctiidae, 6000 neotropik tür de dahil olmak üzere dünyanın her yerinde yaklaşık 11.000 türü bulunan çok çeşitli ve geniş bir güve ailesi. Bu grup, yaygın olarak parlak renkler, ayak gövdeleri, liken güveleri ve arpacık güvelere sahip kaplan kelebekleri olarak bilinen grupları içerir. Birçok türün yaygın olarak yün ayıları ya da yünlü solucanlar olarak bilinen "kıllı" tırtılları vardır. Bilimsel adı buna atıfta bulunur. Tırtıllar da 'gövdeli güveler' adı ile gidebilir. Tarihsel olarak ayrı bir aile olarak ele alınırken, en son sınıflandırmalar onları Erebidae ailesinde bir altfamilyaya yerleştirir.
