Clement Richard Attlee, 1. Earl Attlee, KG, OM, CH, PC, FRS 1945-1951 yılları arasında İngiltere Başbakanı olarak görev yapan İngiliz siyasetçiydi ve 1935-1955 yılları arasında İşçi Partisi Lideri olarak görev yapıyordu. Attlee 1945'te İşçi Partisi'ni heyelan seçim zaferi ve 1950'de dar bir zaferle devam etmeden önce, savaş zamanı koalisyon hükümetinde Winston Churchill'e bağlı olarak görev yapan Birleşik Krallık Başbakan Yardımcılığı görevini yapan ilk kişi oldu. Tam beş yıllık bir dönem geçiren ilk İş Bulma Başbakanı ve Parlamentodaki İşçi çoğunluğuna ilk katılan ilk kişi oldu ve şimdiye kadarki en uzun süredir İşçi Partisi Lideri olarak hizmet etmekte kaldı. 1922'de Limehouse'un milletvekili seçildi, 1924'te Ramsay MacDonald'ın liderliğindeki azınlık hükümetinde bir bakan olmaya hızla yükseldi. İşçi Partisi felaketsiz bir seçim yenilgisinden sonra 1931'de Lider'in Lider Vekilliği'ne seçildi. İşçi Partisi. Dört yıl sonra George Lansbury'nin istifasından sonra İşçi Partisi Lideri oldu.
