AUTACOID SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?

Otakoidler veya "otokoidler", yerel hormonlar gibi hareket eden, kısa süreli bir biyolojik faktördür ve sentez alanına yakın hareket eder. Otakoid kelimesi Yunanca "Arabalar" ve "Acos" dan gelmektedir. Otakoidlerin etkisi çoğunlukla lokalizedir ancak büyük miktarlar üretilebilir ve dolaşıma sokulabilir. Dolayısıyla, otakoidler dolaşım yoluyla taşınarak sistemik etki gösterebilir. Bu düzenleyici moleküller ayrıca lokal olarak metabolize olurlar. Böylece bileşikler lokal olarak üretilir, lokal olarak hareket eder ve lokal olarak metabolize olurlar. Otakoidler, düz kaslar, bezler, sinirler, trombositler ve diğer dokuların aktivitesinin modülasyonu da dahil olmak üzere birçok farklı biyolojik işlemi olabilir. Diğer bazı otoakoidler, düz kas gibi farklı dokularda sahip oldukları etki ile karakterizedir. Vasküler düz kas ile ilgili olarak, hem vazokonstriktör hem de vazodilatör otakoidler vardır. Vazodilatatör otoakoidleri egzersiz periyotları süresince serbest bırakılabilir. Ana etkileri deride görülmekte ve ısı kaybına izin vermektedir. Bunlar yerel hormondur ve parakrin etkisi vardır.
