Bir barograf kayıt aneroid barometredir. Baskı izlemek için bir barograf kullanılır. Aneroid barometredeki işaretçi bir kalemle değiştirilir. Zaman içindeki barometrik basıncı kaydeden bir barogram olarak adlandırılan bir kağıt veya folyo şeması üretir. Barograflar, en uçta bir yazar ya da bir kalem bulunan bir kayıt kolunu çalıştırmak için bir dişli ya da kollu bir tren vasıtasıyla hareket eden bir ya da daha fazla anoroid hücrenin kullanılmasını sağlar. Bir kalem mürekkep kullanarak kağıt üzerinde kağıda basılı tutarken, bir kâğıda füme folyo kaydeder. Kayıt materyali, saat işiyle yavaşça dönen silindirik bir tambur üzerine monte edilmiştir. Genel olarak, tambur gün başına, haftada bir veya ayda bir devrim yapar ve rotasyon hızı genelde kullanıcı tarafından seçilebilir. Tek bir anoroid tarafından üretilen hareket miktarı çok küçük olduğundan, hareketlerini güçlendirmek için çoğu kez yedi aneroid "seri" halinde istiflenir. 1844 yılında Fransız Lucien Vidi tarafından icat edildi. Atmosferik basınç, yükseklikteki değişikliklere tahmin edilebilir bir şekilde tepki gösterdiğinde, bir barometre uçuşu esnasında yükseklik değişikliklerini kaydetmek için barograflar kullanılabilir.
