Bir kütük, bir askerin uykuya atandığı evler için kullanılan bir terimdir. Tarihsel olarak, askeri kabul etmesi gereken özel konuttan bahsetti. Askerler genelde kışla ya da garnizon olarak dövüş görevinde bulunmazlarsa da, bazı orduda ailelerle askerlerin bir evden ayrılması yasaklanmış olsa da.
