BRICS SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
BRIC
İktisatta BRIC, yeni gelişen ekonomik kalkınmanın benzer bir aşamasında olduğu düşünülen Brezilya, Rusya, Hindistan ve Çin'e ait bir kısaltma kısaltmasıdır. Genellikle "BRICs" veya "BRIC ülkeleri" veya "BRIC ekonomileri" veya alternatif olarak "Big Four" olarak verilir. İlgili kısaltma, Güney Afrika'yı içeren BRICS'tir. Kısaltma Jim O'Neill tarafından "Daha İyi Küresel Ekonomik BRIC'ler Oluşturulması" başlıklı 2001 tarihli bir gazetede hazırlandı. Kısaltma, gelişmiş G7 ekonomilerinden gelişmekte olan ülkelere doğru küresel ekonomik gücün kayda değer bir değişiminin sembolü olarak yaygın biçimde kullanılmaya başlandı. BRIC ekonomilerinin gelecekteki gücü üzerine projeksiyonlar büyük farklılıklar göstermektedir. Bazı kaynaklar, G7 ekonomilerini 2027 yılına kadar geride bırakabileceklerini öne sürüyor. Goldman Sachs, daha ılımlı bir şekilde, dört BRIC ülkesinin hızla gelişmekte olmasına rağmen, yalnızca 2050 yılına kadar birleşmiş ekonomilerinin mevcut en zengin ülkelerin birleşmiş ekonomilerini kurabileceğini savunuyor dünyanın.
