Buckminsterfullerene, C60 formülü ile küresel bir fulleren molekülüdür. Yirmi altıgen ve on altı beşgenlerden oluşan, her bir çokgenin her bir köşesinde bir karbon atomu ve her çokgen kenar boyunca bir bağ olan bir futbol topunu andıran kafes benzeri kaynaşık halka yapısı vardır.
