PCB'lere alternatif olarak tel sargısı ve noktadan noktaya yapılar bulunmaktadır. PCB'ler, devreyi düzenlemek için ek tasarım gayreti gerektirir, ancak üretim ve montaj otomatikleştirilebilir. PCB'li üretim devreleri, bileşenler tek bir parça ile monte edildiğinde ve kablolandığında, diğer kablolama yöntemlerinden daha ucuzdur ve daha hızlıdır. Dahası, operatör kablolama hataları ortadan kaldırılmıştır.
