Bilişsel davranışçı terapi
Bilişsel davranışçı terapi, işlevsiz duyguları, uyumsuz davranışları ve bilişsel süreçleri ve içeriği hedef odaklı, açık sistematik prosedürlerle ele alan psikoterapötik bir yaklaşımdır. Adı, davranış terapisine, bilişsel terapiye ve temel davranışsal ve bilişsel ilkelerin ve araştırmanın bir kombinasyonuna dayanan terapiye atıfta bulunmaktadır. Anksiyete ve depresyon ile ilgilenen hastalarla çalışan çoğu terapist, bilişsel ve davranışsal terapinin bir karışımını kullanır. Bu teknik, rasyonel düşünceyle kontrol edilemeyen davranışların olabileceğini kabul eder. TCMB "probleme odaklı" ve "eylem odaklı". TCMB'nin ruh hali, kaygı, kişilik, yeme, madde kötüye kullanımı, tik ve psikotik bozukluklar gibi çeşitli durumların tedavisinde etkili olduğu düşünülmektedir. Spesifik bozukluklar için birçok BDT tedavi programı etkinlik açısından değerlendirilmiştir; semptom bazlı teşhisler için spesifik tedavilerin önerildiği kanıta dayalı tedavinin sağlık eğilimi, TCT'yi psikodinamik tedaviler gibi diğer yaklaşımlara göre tercih etmiştir.
