Bir tezahürat töreni, Erken Ortaçağ döneminde, efendisi ve vasalını savaşan adamı arasında bağ oluşturmak üzere geliştirilen resmi bir tören. Commendatio'nun kaydedilen ilk töreni 7. yüzyıl Fransa'sındaydı, ancak vasal ilişki daha yaşlıydı ve asil bir sınıfın ortaçağ formülasyonlarından bile önceydi. Lordun "adamı" özgürce doğmuş olabilir, ancak komite onu serbest bırakmıştı. İki adam feodal bir ilişki kurduklarında, övgü töreni olarak bilinen bir törenle karşılandılar.
