CONTINGENT SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
İhtimal (felsefe)
Felsefede ve mantıkta ihtimal, muhtemel her değerleme altında doğru olmayan, olası tüm değerlemelerde yanlış olan önermelerin statüsüdür. Koşullu bir önerme ne mutlaka doğru, ne de yanlış olabilir. Şartlı olan önermeler, atomik parçalarının herhangi birinin gerçek değeri ile birlikte önermenin gerçek değerini belirleyen mantıksal bağlayıcılar içerdiği için olabilir. Bu, önermenin gerçek değerinin onu oluşturan cümlelerin gerçeğe bağlı değerlerine bağlı olduğunu söylemektir. Şartlı önermeler olgulara bağlıdır, oysa analitik önermeler konuştukları herhangi bir olguya bakılmaksızın geçerlidir. Şartlı önermelerle birlikte, bazıları çakışan en az üç diğer öneri sınıfı vardır: ▪ Koşullar ne olursa olsun veya olursa olsun, doğru olması gereken totolojik önermeler. ▪ Koşulların ne olursa olsun veya olursa olsun, mutlaka yanlış olması gereken çelişkiler. ▪ Olası önermeler, bazı koşullar göz önüne alındığında doğrudur ya da doğru olabilirdi.

Şartlı kelimenin ilk tanımı, postpozitif olduğunda genellikle bilinmeyen olaylara, koşullara vb. Bağımlı veya üzerinde durur; koşullu. Şartlı kişinin diğer tanımı belirli koşullar altında doğrudur, diğerlerinde yanlış; gerekli değil. Şartlı ayrıca aciliyeti belirtir.
