Ditiyon asit
Ditiyonlu asit, H2S2O4 kimyasal formülü olan bir sülfür oksoasittir. Saf halde kararsızdır, ancak dithionitler olarak bilinen tuzları kararlıdır. Başlangıçta, C2 simetrik yapısı HOS-SOH'nin, ab initio hesaplamalarını kullanarak H 2 S 2 O 4 formülüyle moleküller arasında en kararlı olduğu varsayıldı. Bunun nedeni, molekül içi hidrojen bağlarının varlığıdır. Ditiyon asidi spontan olarak SO2 ve S2'ye ayrıldığı bilinmektedir. Sodyum ditionit, indirgeyici ve ağartma maddesi olarak kullanılan beyaz bir tozdur. Organik reaksiyonlarda nitro grubunu bir amino grubuna indirgemek için de kullanılır.
