Dogma
Dogma, bir otoritenin itiraz edilemez olarak doğru olduğu bir ilke veya ilkeler dizisidir. Bir ideoloji veya inanç sisteminin birincil temelinin bir parçası olarak hizmet eder ve sistemin paradigmasını veya ideolojinin kendisini etkilemeksizin değiştirilemez veya atılamaz. Bu terim filozofların veya felsefi okulların kabul edilebilir görüşlerine, kamu kararnamelerine, dinlere veya siyasi otoritelerin yayınlanmış kararlarına atıfta bulunabilir. Bu terim Yunan δόγμα'dan "birine, görüşe ya da düşüncee benzeyen" ve onun "düşünmek, varsaymak, düşünmek" için yaptığı δοκέω'tan gelmektedir. Dogma, Birinci Yüzyılda başkalarına karara bağlanan ve dayatılan yasa ve yönetmelikleri belirtmek için geldi. Çoğul ya dogma ya da dogmata, Yunanca δόγματα'dan. "Dogmatics" terimi, Karl Barth'ın yeni-ortodoksluğa dayalı ders kitabı olan 14 ciltlik Church Dogmatics'te olduğu gibi, sistematik teolojinin eşanlamlılığı olarak kullanılır.
