Dubstep
Dubstep / dʌbstɛp /, Güney Londra, İngiltere'de başlayan elektronik dans müziğinin bir türüdür. 1990'lı yılların sonlarında, 2 basamaklı garaj, kırık vuruş, davul ve bas, ormancılık, dub ve reggae gibi ilgili stillerin soylarında bir gelişme olarak ortaya çıktı. İngiltere'de bu türün kökenleri, 1980'lerin başında Jamaika ses sistemi parti sahnesinin büyümesine geri dönülebilir. Müzikte genellikle senkopla kaplanmış davul ve belirgin alt bas frekansları içeren bas çizgilerine sahip vurma desenleri bulunur. İlk dubstep çıkışları 1998 yılına dayanıyor ve genellikle 2 basamaklı garaj tekli bültenlerinin B tarafı olarak gösteriliyordu.
