Eddy akımları, iletken içinde değişen bir manyetik alan tarafından indüklenen elektrik akımlarıdır. Bu dolaşımdaki akım indüksiyonları dolayısıyla manyetik alanları indükler. Bu alanlar itme, cazibe, tahrik, sürüklenme ve ısıtma etkilerine neden olabilir.
