EFTA SÖZCÜĞÜ İNGILIZCE DİLİNDE NE ANLAMA GELİR?
Avrupa Serbest Ticaret Birliği
Avrupa Serbest Ticaret Birliği, dört Avrupa ülkesi arasında serbest ticaret organizasyonu olup, Avrupa Birliği ile paralel ve buna bağlı olarak faaliyet göstermektedir. EFTA 3 Mayıs 1960'da, şimdi AB üyesi olan Avrupa Ekonomik Topluluğuna katılamayacak veya katılmak istemeyen Avrupa devletleri için bir ticaret bloku alternatifi olarak kuruldu. EFTA'yı kuran Stockholm Sözleşmesi, 4 Ocak 1960'da İsveç başkentinde yedi ülke tarafından imzalandı. Bugünün EFTA üyeleri, İzlanda, Lihtenştayn, Norveç ve İsviçre'dir ve bunların ikisi kuruluş üyelerindendir. İlk Stockholm Sözleşmesi, üye devletler arasındaki ticaretin daha serbest hale getirilmesini sağlayan Vaduz Sözleşmesi'nin yerini almıştır. EFTA ülkeleri, diğer birçok ülke ile ortaklaşa serbest ticaret anlaşmaları imzaladılar. EFTA ülkeleri Avrupa Birliği iç pazarının bir parçasıdır; İzlanda, Lihtenştayn ve Norveç'te Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı Anlaşması ve İsviçre ile ikili anlaşmalar vasıtasıyla imzalanmıştır.
İngilizce sözlükte EFTA sözcüğünün tanımı
EFTA'nın sözlükte tanımlanması Avrupa Serbest Ticaret Birliği'dir; sanayi ürünlerindeki ticaret tarifelerini ortadan kaldırmak için 1960 yılında kurulan; şimdi Norveç, İsviçre, İzlanda ve Lihtenştayn'ı kapsıyor. 1984'te EFTA ve AT arasında serbest ticaret kuruldu. 1994'te EFTA ve AB birlikte Avrupa Ekonomik Alanı'nı yarattı.
